Calderon – New Real Madrid president

Ramon Calderon has been offcialy named new president of Real Madrid. The 55-year old lawyer promised a bright new future for Real Madrid, led by Fabio Cappelo as manager, and former Madrid forward Perdrag Mijatovic as sporting director.

We will start this very afternoon with Fabio Capello in charge as I promised. He will arrive this evening and start working with Mijatovic to contruct the new team that will be capable of winning a trophy next season.‘ saidCalderon.

Now that Calderon has won the elections, it will be seen if he will keep his promise of bringing Kaka and Robben to the club. Nistelrooy has also been mentioned, and is the most likely player to move to Madrid. Calderon has also mentioned that some of the players will be leaving the club as well.
