Macca After 99 days of interviewing and studying candidates, and none of the big names showing interest the English FA have finally chosen a successor for current coach Sven-Goran Ericsson. Steve McClaren was chosen unanimously from a list that included two names a number of high profile names such as Guus Hiddink and Felipe Scolari. Sam 'Fat Big Sam' Allardyce is thought to be the runner up. McClaren will take over as England coach after the World Cup in June. It's expected that McClaren will coach both club(Middlesbrough) and country. Middlesbrough have launched a search for a successor for McClaren.

Personally I would have tried to sign Guus Hiddink for the England job, but many people as well as figures from the National team called for a British manager.
